1977… Several important and interesting things happened in 1977.
- In New York, the World Trade Center was Completed
- Jimmy Carter was elected President.
- Steve Jobs Sold His First Apple Computer for $2638.00.
- The Average Cost of a House Was , $13650.00.
- And The Cost of a Gallon of Gas Was Just 65 cents. Some of you remember when it was only a quarter.
AND also in 1977; David Nix at age 45, cleaned his first carpet. In an industry full or “bait-and-switch” operators; he created a business that would adhere to his motto:
“A Standard of Excellence”
His carpet cleaning services evolved to include the cleaning of most any textile item; rugs, furniture, draperies, clothing, belts, shoes, even stuffed animals. His services quickly expanded; David would respond to his customers for emergency water damage cleanup from broken pipes, water heaters, slab leaks etc.
As his carpet cleaning business grew, he reached out to me for help. Patty Nix and I joined the family business in 1982 with a desire to help serve an ever growing customer base that came to expect quality workmanship at a fair price serving with honesty and integrity.

David Nix passed on October 23, 2012, but his legacy remains as Patty and I along with a staff of professionally trained individuals work with your best interest at heart.
